The family’s dream of owning their own Christmas village in Australia has come true.
The New South Wales government has purchased the property for $20 million.
In 2016, a developer purchased the Victorian property for more than $40 million.
This year’s purchase was announced Wednesday and will create a new town with a population of about 15,000.
The family had been planning a holiday camp for the family, but decided against it after they learned that the town would not be ready for use until the year 2030.
“We were very disappointed that we didn’t get the chance to do this in the year of 2030, so we wanted to be sure that this could be done in the most realistic and sustainable way possible,” Chris Kloos, a local community member who helped broker the sale, told Entertainment Weekly.
“This is going to be a community that’s ready for its own village.”
The new town will be set up in the middle of a vast and scenic landscape that spans almost 200,000 acres, according to the plan.
The plan calls for the village to be built on reclaimed land, and will include an oceanfront townhouse and an outdoor recreational area, plus the village’s own gym, a pool, tennis court, tennis racquet court, and a golf course.
The community will also have a community center, a new school, and an area for community events.
The village will also include an outdoor movie theater, a spa, and several restaurants and bars.
The project will also bring jobs and opportunities to the area.
The land has been vacant since the Great Depression and the area has not been developed for more years.
However, the property is owned by the Victorian government, which is working with the local community to plan and finance the project.
Klooms hopes the community will support the project because of the local heritage and its connection to Christmas.
“The land is very important to us and our history and we really want to bring Christmas back to the village,” Klos said.
“It’s a great community to be in and we’re going to have a great time.”
