A pizza restaurant in Jerusalem’s Old City has closed after Palestinians accused police of assaulting them.
A local police officer said on Monday that he and two other officers had been injured when a Palestinian, identified as Muhammad al-Aqdeh, threw a bottle at them and threatened them.
According to local police, the incident took place at a pizzeria owned by a local Muslim resident, who was accused of making anti-Semitic comments and insulting a woman in a nearby restaurant.
Aqdesh was reportedly arrested on Saturday.
An Israeli police spokeswoman said that the officers were released on medical grounds on Monday.
